Chicken’s neck(giblets) for dinner anyone?

December 2, 2008

THIS afternoon, a friend of mine, JJ told me that he bought 4 kg of chicken’s neck/giblets (that’s alot of necks!) for only PhP 180 (converted in Philippine Peso), and he’s willing to give me the half of it… for FREE! in short, i’ve got 2 kg of giblets in my freezer. The real problem is how to cook this?but hey, here’s what i’ve done for my dinner.. chicken’s neck/giblets

first – i wash them and put them in a clean pot.. add water, same level with the chicken’s neck/giblets – seasoned with soy sauce and pepper.. stir it occasionally and let them boil for 10 to 15 minutes.

keep it cool

second – keep it cool, before immersing it into a bowl of beaten eggs(sprinkled with salt and pepper) to enable the breadcrumbs/all-purpose flour to stick on it.

immerse it into the bowl of stirred eggs.

covered it in breadcrumbs or an all-purpose flour

then, fry it in an amount of oil sufficient to cover it completely.

deep-fry

wait until turns to golden brown. removed on the pot, then dig in! 🙂

but hey, don’t forget the “sawsawan” – soy sauce with lemon or calamansi plus chili!
